Although it might look like an ecologist eccentricity, eating organic food is the only sustainable way to feed the planet.

Feeding more than 7 billion people has a fundamental influence on the health of the planet and therefore on the health of its inhabitants. Since the population is continuously increasing (it is estimated it will reach 9 billion by 2050) it is necessary to find as soon as possible a sustainable model.

It’s necessary to produce more food, to stop reducing forests, to protect the cultivated lands from drought without polluting the water and land. Although it does not necessarily reduce CO2 emissions, organic farming avoids the use of chemicals, of fertilizers derived from petroleum,

optimizes the use of water and keeps the land indefinitely fertile. This is the only real answer to the question of sustainability for the planet.

Obviously organic farming has an economical price, but food is the most important thing we buy.
